Tribute to Frontline Workers Assisting With Coronavirus by Jiro Wang, Calvin Chen & Dylan Kuo

Visit Weibo 新浪微博, and you will encounter many works paying tribute to those affected by the coronavirus. Most recently, Jiro Wang 汪东城 and Calvin Chen 辰亦儒, former members of the Taiwanese boy band, Fahrenheit 飞轮海, and their pal, Taiwanese actor Dylan Kuo 郭品超, have collaborated on the touching song “Let Love Retrograde” 让爱逆行.

A video accompanying the song features frontline workers. It also acknowledges the tireless support of volunteers from Liaoning, Shanghai, Tianjin, Hebei, Shanxi, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Guangdong, Sichuan, Shandong, Henan, Fujian and other provinces, who have been assisting “Hubei day and night.”

The lyrics compare the medical staff to “white angels,” who unselfishly “take away the darkness” and “give life a chance.”

The video ends with the message, “Thank you for your emotional support through all these days for your selfless work and sacrifice.”

For your enjoyment, “Let Love Retrograde” has been translated into English. Pinyin is also provided so that you may sing along.

I wish you health and happiness.
