For years, I have been frustrated by the seeming lack of the charter 女 (nǚ / woman) on my iPhone’s pinyin (QWERTY) keyboard.  But, it was my knowledge that was lacking.  In my defense, check out the screenshot below taken directly from my iPhone.  After typing “nu,” you will see that the character choices do not include 女.  If you find yourself in this situation, the information below will prevent you from tearing your hair out by the roots.   Let’s learn how to type the chinese character for female…
