This review explores what Let’s get right to it and discover what Trancy is all about.

Trancy is very easy to set up—simply add the extension to your browser and click the purple Trancy icon (see image below) in the bottom right corner of your video.
Trancy’s subtitles are beautiful, functional, and customizable. You can toggle the original and translated subtitles on and off and save specific words or sentences for later.
One notable feature is the ability to switch modes to focus either on the video or the subtitles, enhancing your learning experience by allowing for greater customization.

These activities turn video subtitles into interactive exercises, helping reinforce learning.
Collections
Trancy allows you to save and review words and sentences on its platform. You can then download your saved terms, albeit without audio. I don’t see this as a problem though because I use HyperTTS to automatically add neural AI voices to my Anki flashcard decks.
AI Features
Trancy includes AI functions like chatbot conversations, offering dynamic and engaging practice compared to pre-planned dialogues from other apps. It should be noted, however, that AI features are only available on the paid plan.
