Hey there, welcome back to our blog! Today, we’ve got something super cool to talk about – the Chrome extension, Copyfish! And guess what? It’s also available for all you Firefox fans out there!
Now, for those of you who don’t know, Copyfish is all about optical character recognition, or OCR for short. In simple terms, it lets you extract text from images. Pretty neat, right?
For all you language learners out there, Copyfish has some serious perks! Imagine being able to extract and translate text from movies, dramas, news articles, blogs, online books, and even YouTube videos – that’s right, no more language barriers!

Let’s quickly discuss six fantastic ways Copyfish can level up your language-learning journey, some of which you may not have thought of. And if you are wondering, no this blog post isn’t sponsored, I just really like Copyfish.

One caveat, in my experience, is that many OCR programs have issues when trying to extract text from low-quality images or when the background colors are similar to the text being extracted so just be mindful of that possible limitation. Overall, Copyfish has not disappointed me yet.
